2023 Tata Safari was introduced in October 2023 and is based on Tata’s Omega architecture, derived from the Land Rover’s D8 platform. The Safari is positioned as a premium mid-size SUV and competes with other vehicles in its class. The Tata Safari was first launched in 1998 in India with a ladder on frame chassis in RWD option. Later on in 2012 it was launched in rebadged version Safari Storme in 2.2L diesel engine.
