Mahindra Auto Records Impressive Growth in June 2024 with 40,022 SUV Sales. This includes a remarkable 23% increase in SUV sales, totaling 40,022 units sold in the domestic market.
Mahindra Auto a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), one of India’s premier automotive companies, has announced a robust performance for June 2024, registering total auto sales of 69,397 vehicles, marking an 11% growth compared to the same period last year.
Stellar Performance in Utility Vehicles
Mahindra’s Utility Vehicles (UV) segment showcased exceptional growth, with domestic sales reaching 40,022 units, a 23% rise from June 2023’s 32,585 units. Overall, including exports, Mahindra sold 40,644 SUVs in June 2024. The total passenger vehicles sold in the domestic market matched the UV figures, reflecting a similar growth trend.
Commercial Vehicles and Three-Wheelers
In the commercial vehicle segment, Mahindra Auto reported domestic sales of 20,594 units. The detailed breakdown is as follows:
LCV < 2T: Sales increased by 5% to 3,223 units from 3,063 units in June 2023.
LCV 2T – 3.5T: Sales decreased by 12% to 14,097 units compared to 16,042 units in the previous year.
LCV > 3.5T + MHCV: This category saw a significant 77% increase, with sales reaching 3,274 units from 1,854 units in June 2023.
Three-Wheelers (including electric 3Ws): Sales slightly declined by 3%, with 6,184 units sold compared to 6,377 units in June 2023.
Export Performance
Mahindra Auto’s export numbers also showed positive growth, with total exports rising by 4% to 2,597 units in June 2024, up from 2,505 units in June 2023. This growth underscores the global appeal and reliability of Mahindra’s vehicles.

Veejay Nakra, President of the Mahindra Auto, Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., highlighted the remarkable sales performance, noting, “In June, we achieved sales of 40,022 SUVs, marking a 23% increase, and a total of 69,397 vehicles, reflecting an 11% growth compared to the previous year. June has been particularly significant for us, as we celebrated the rollout of the 200,000th XUV700 from our production facility. Additionally, we commemorated 25 years of Bolero Pik-Ups, a pioneering leader in the LCV segment.”
