Citroen and BluSmart Mobility will deliver 4000 units of e-C3 by 2024

Citroen, the renowned French automaker, has partnered with BluSmart Mobility, India’s leading born-electric e-Mobility service provider, to expand BluSmart’s all-electric fleet. This collaboration solidified with the signing of an MoU securing the supply of 4,000 units of Citroen‘s e-C3. This strategic move aligns perfectly with the growing consumer demand for sustainable transportation options. The collaboration commenced with the ceremonial dispatch of 125 Citroen-C3 units from BluSmart’s EV charging superhub in Bangalore. These vehicles mark the beginning of a promising alliance aimed at revolutionizing urban mobility.

Adding to BluSmart’s extensive fleet of over 7,000 EVs, the Citroen e-C3, an all-electric compact SUV, brings a new dimension to sustainable transportation solutions. With its efficient design and eco-friendly performance, the e-C3 is poised to make a significant impact on the city’s transportation landscape. With an impressive range of 320 kilometers according to ARAI standards and cutting-edge fast charging technology capable of achieving a full charge in under an hour, the e-C3 offers both convenience and efficiency. Citroen’s renowned Advanced Comfort Program ensures a superior ride experience, blending intuitive technology with spacious interiors and a generous 315-liter boot, perfectly suited for airport transfers, a key segment of BluSmart’s services.

Shishir Mishra, Brand Director at Citroen India, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing their joint commitment to a cleaner and greener transportation ecosystem. Anmol Jaggi, Co-founder & CEO of BluSmart, echoed Mishra’s sentiments, highlighting their shared vision of achieving net-zero mobility and providing premium, reliable, and safe ride experiences. He emphasized BluSmart’s dedication to constructing a comprehensive EV mobility ecosystem in India, encompassing ride-hailing services and an extensive network of EV charging superhubs.

Assure enables institutions to finance the purchase of EVs and lease them to BluSmart against fixed rentals, further facilitating the adoption of e-Mobility.

BluSmart, with its born-electric technology stack, operates 7,000 EVs and has completed over 12.5 million all-electric trips, covering 410 million clean kilometers and saving 30 million kilograms of CO2 since its inception. The company also owns and operates 4,400 EV chargers across 36 EV charging superhubs, with plans to expand further.

With a multi-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Trading Company Ltd., BluSmart is poised to transition to a 100% emission-free company, marking a significant step towards its commitment to ‘Decarbonized Mobility at Scale’.
