TATA.ev: To Install New 4Lakh Charge Points

TATA.ev today unveiled a bold initiative to more than double India’s available EV charge points, targeting 400,000 installations by 2027 under its flagship Open Collaboration 2.0 framework. The company will roll out the TATA by strengthening its partnerships with key charging point operators (CPOs). Ev Mega Charger network, will be delivering ultra-fast and reliable charging. Additionally, 30,000+ new public charging stations will be installed nationwide.

At the announcement ceremony, senior representatives from Tata Power, Statiq, Zeon, and Charge Zone joined Mr. Balaje Rajan, Chief Strategy Officer, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, highlighting the collaborative effort driving this ambitious expansion.

As India’s EV adoption surges, TATA.ev is spearheading infrastructure development, ensuring seamless charging accessibility. Having already surpassed 200,000 EV sales, the company remains committed to making electric mobility more convenient.

Since 2019, TATA.ev has pioneered charging solutions by integrating home, community, and public charging networks. With strategic tie-ups in 2023 under the Open Collaboration framework, the brand facilitated rapid expansion, doubling India’s public charge points to over 18,000 in just 15 months. TATA.ev is partnering with Tata Power, Charge Zone, Statiq, and Zeon to establish 500+ TATA.ev Mega Chargers within two years. These ultra-fast chargers will be strategically placed in key urban locations and along major highways, supporting all EV brands while offering exclusive benefits to TATA.ev customers:

  • Superfast chargers with four charging bays
  • Exclusive priority access and service for EV users
  • Tariff benefits for EV customers
  • Seamless tracking and payments via the iRA.ev app

By consolidating access to all partner CPO chargers through a single digital interface, it ensures an integrated, user-friendly charging experience, eliminating the need for multiple charging apps.
