His successor will be announced at a future date, and Pasricha will remain with the company during the transition period to ensure a smooth handover.
Yasunobu Matoba to Retire
Yasunobu Matoba, Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Global IS/IT, will retire on June 30, 2024. Matoba has played a critical role in shaping Nissan’s information technology strategy and has been instrumental in enhancing the company’s IT infrastructure. His leadership has been key in navigating the company through various technological advancements and challenges.
Jan Brecht Appointed as Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO)
Effective July 1, Jan Brecht will join Nissan as Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO). Brecht will report directly to Stephen Ma, Chief Financial Officer, and will be based in Japan. Brecht brings extensive experience from his previous role as CIO at Mercedes-Benz, a position he held since 2015. His expertise in digitalization and his proven track record in IT leadership will be invaluable as Nissan aims to advance its digital transformation and achieve its long-term strategic goals.
